Getting people to work for you within 30 days of starting your business subjects you having to get a Federal EIN and a State EIN (employer identification number). On the other hand, you will also need a federal tax ID are: if you are a partnership, an independent contractor, and a corporation or an LLC . You can also obtain a federal tax ID as a sole proprietor and use it as a business tax ID in the place of a social security number. However, you will still need other filings, such as permits, a fictitious business name DBA, and tax IDs as described above. Finally, even sole proprietor working from home or just online can set up a LLC or incorporate, in which case, they will not need to register the trade name with a dba because the LLC or Corporation name will be the legal name of the business.

1. I am buying material at wholesale prices and have been asked to provide a Certificate of Resell from the state of Texas - is the is the same as Seller's Permit? Does this certificate need to be completed for each vendor I purchase from?

2.  I learned that I have a talent to make hand scrubs and soaps and lotions but got a pharmacy technician diploma and culinary licence im starting a cleaning company and im very new at this.

3.  i need specific instructions on how to have all the requirements to advertise my business such as a business license.

1. Yes, the reseller certificate is part of the seller's permit and you need to present it to all vendors you buy wholesale from. It is an one page certificate that certifies that you hold a reseller's permit or wholesale permit which both are the same as a seller's permit.

2. For hand scrubs and soaps and lotions you can use the seller's permit to buy wholesale and sell retail.

3.  In order to advertise your business with a specific business name, you need to file a DBA, form an LLC or set up a corporation with the same name.

1. I wanted to know how to get my reseller's permit & TAX ID NUMBER, I have already had a smoke shop in the past, just looking up what all I would need to open one in Colorado where marijuana is legal.

Probably just about everything I had before. no thank you, I have an accountant that does all of that for me at a minimal cost.

1.  You need a reseller permit for your smoke shop and you can open one in CO.

2. Yes, for food truck, you need the licensing such as the seller's permit and the food handler training course.
