Here's How to Get Your Seller's Permit and Other permits and Registrations You May Need. Seller's Permit, LLC, DBA, Licenses & Tax IDs Requirements:




First decide on a business structure Uniform Store as a Sole Proprietor, LLC/Corp, or Partnership.


Note that each structure requires a filing. E.g., selecting an LLC, requires at least an LLC certificate, an LLC operating agreement, a business license and a federal tax ID number.

All Uniform Store Businesses need a , Business tax registration also called an occupation business License

Selling/Leasing or if wanting to buy or sell Uniform Store merchandise, food, equipment requires a Seller's Permit.

Uniform Store REQUIRED PERMITS Legal and Tax Business Structure Whether your Uniform Store business is an online, home, store, concession stand or a mobile cart, you will have to first select from these business, tax entities: Namely, from sole owner/proprietor, partnership, LLC or corporation.

It does not matter which one you choose when it comes to a General Business License because all entities need that one. (Note that that is not a specific license to your Uniform Store type of business it is a BUSINESS license) as well. Using a company name subjects you to having to file a DBA .

For instance, your name is Marylin Boe, and you do business as Best Items By Marylin, the name must be registered with a DBA Doing Business As certificate because it is not your full legal name (namely, Marylin Boe). Also, note that whatever item that you sell or lease and it is an item that can be touched (i.e., tangible such as equipment, jewelry, merchandise, electronics, prepared food) requires a sales ID ( Sellers Permit ) to either buy or sell the items or products wholesale from Uniform Store companies that sell in bulk and or sell them retail directly to consumers.

Getting people to work for you within 30 days of starting your business subjects you having to get a Federal EIN and a State EIN (employer identification number). On the other hand, you will also need a federal tax ID are: if you are a partnership, an independent contractor, and a corporation or an LLC .

You can also obtain a federal tax ID as a Uniform Store sole proprietor and use it as a business tax ID in the place of a social security number. However, you will still need other filings, such as permits, a fictitious business name DBA, and tax IDs as described above.

Finally, even sole proprietor working from home or just online can set up a LLC or incorporate, in which case, they will not need to register the Uniform Store trade name with a dba because the LLC or Corporation name will be the legal name of the business....

Home businesses need a business license as well as other tax registrations.Online businesses operated from home need a business permit and all other licensing as any other business.

i want to become a dealer with a mobile company and sell sim cards and refill cards on the go i don't have a shop and i will advertise from home , mobile company asked me that i need to have a "the Texas sales and use tax permit." how can i do that and where to start and do i need a Credit Card Machine , and do i have to fill taxes?

I have an airstream trailer boutique and we travel. We are based in TExas but we want to do a show in Oklahoma at a trade fair and I am unsure of what documents I need. I currently have a federal tax id and texas sales and use permit. I am thinking I probably need a sales and use permit for Oklahoma but want to make sure that there is nothing else needed, if that is even what I need. thanks Amy Johnson

You can obtain a seller's permit here online.  Click on the order button or get seller's permit button, submit your business info on the form, and select state. Then select seller's permit.
