I am moving to Austin TX and do I need a business license to start a home staging company I buy homes and rent or lease them to client. I'm in the process of starting a staging/redesign business. What license do I need to get?

I'm starting an L.L.C in North Ogden. It is a business that includes catering small events, home and business staging. We want to know what forms to fill out. We believe we need a N Ogden business license , Utah Sellers permit and a Federal Tax Id with an application for an L.L.C Certificate of Organization.

We don't want to be redundant with paperwork or fees, and are a little overwhelmed with the process. We also need to know the health dept regulations for catering locally. Do we need to use a commercial kitchen or apply as a personal chef.

Even though you are a home business you still need all permits and tax ID numberss like any other businesss.       If you sell anything hazardous such as chemicals you will need a special location for the merchandise. I stage homes for sale and decorate/redesign homes. Sometimes the county will ask for an inspection if you manufacture or store anything hazardous.   Merchandise is stored at home business location so it it is an insignificant amount it is ok but a lot of merchandise may need a storage location for a home business permit to be issued:   Home deliveries will occur regularly at home based business. Most cities will not allow too many deliveries so you need to either pick up your deliveries from UPS or limit the amount of trucks parking in front of you home:  
I am a home based business. Do I need licensing? Home business or Online businesses are not exempt from licensing requirement. You need all licenses a brick and mortar store needs. Physical location business. What if my business is not located in the city limits?   I stage homes for sale and decorate/redesign homes. Note that all home based business are subject to the same licensing requirement as any business. You are required to have all licenses as any business even if you are a home based business with small annual income.

So is a seller's permit a tax permit?; In essense, yes, it is a tax permit. What is the difference between resell license vs resale permit vs resellers permit? ; Yes a resale license a resell permit and a resellers permit are all the same as a sellers permit.

i just have small question. what license type do i need for my upholstery business? I would like to apply for a seller permit but I do not have a social security number I was wondering if I could apply with my tax I.d number that I have..how much is a wholesale license?i'm going to sign new lease for a shop but what type if shop license do i need for the upholstery business ? A1 B1?

Get an ITIN and you can obtain one. The wholesale license is $39.

Hi. I just started a catering business. I incorporated in Delaware and am going through the process of registering in Illinois. I already have a FEIN. I have a few questions, and it's ok if you can't answer them all: 1) Do I need a Seller's or Resellers Permit? We do plan to buy our food wholesale. Also, are there 2 separate permits for both Illinois and Chicago? 2) In addition to the Type I Meat & Poultry License, will I need an Egg Beater License if I'm cooking out of an already licensed commercial kitchen? 3) I see that there is a license titled "Shared Kitchen User" which we'll need, but will I need to obtain a mobile food dispenser license if I plan to deliver orders? Thanks in advance!

You will need a seller's permit and if hiring, you will also need a state ein.

I'm looking to start an online only c, hiring no employees. Would I need a sellers permit or anything of the like?do you need to use a commercial kitchen to sell baked goods from your home? thank you. still in the process of development recipes. haven't done anything else yet

You need a sellers permit , a business license,  a DBA and an EIN.

Is a wholesale distributor of products require to register and get a seller's permit?; Wholesalers distributors of products are required to register and get a seller's permit.
