I am an interior decorator / I have a website / I buy assessories for clients / I can work with all states from my home Hi there- I provide home staging & interior decorating I have a Pa. home staging business.

I incorporated in January 2017 with Direct Incorporation of MI. I have an IEN# and an Entity #. Just talked to this company asking if I should have gotten a Pa. Business License. The rep. Called attention to the Entity #.

As far as I know, Home Stages do nit have to obtain a Professional License. I have completed an accredited staging course. How do I find out if I need a business license in this state ? The website to check licensees is not working.

Home Staging Legal Structure

Whether an online, home, store, concession stand or a mobile cart, you will need to first select among among sole owner/proprietor, partnership, LLC or corporation, all of which also require a General Business License (not a specific license to your type of business) as well. If your trade name is a business name other than your full personal legal name, you will need to file a Home Staging  DBA . For instance, your name is John Doe, and you do business as Best Home Staging  By John, the name must be registered with aDBA Biz Name because it is not your full legal name. Also, note that whatever item that you sell or lease and it is an item that can be touched (i.e., tangible such as equipment, toys, merchandise, electronics, prepared food) requires a state sales tax ID ( Sellers Permit ) to either buy or sell the items or products wholesale and or sell them retail. If you are hiring workers anytime soon, you will need aFederal EIN and a State EIN (employer identification number).

Other instances that you will need a federal tax ID are: if you are a partnership, an
Home Staging independent contractor, and a corporation or anLLC . You can also obtain a federal tax ID as a sole proprietor and use it as a business tax ID in the place of a social security number.

However, you will still need other registrations, such as licenses, an assumed business name DBA, and tax IDs as described above. Finally, even one person, 
Home Staging sole owner/proprietors working from home or just online can form a LLC or incorporate, in which case, they will not need to file a DBA.

So is a seller's permit a tax permit?; In essense, yes, it is a tax permit. So what is a resellers license?; A seller's permit or resellers permit license is a resell permit of merchandise and it is used as a sales tax permit because you collect sales tax and you pay the state.

I don't have a business license or any information I'm self-employed Why would I need a license to have an escrow to come out and visit.

Do you have escorts that come out to the house and help us I prefer to do things in person if that's okay I have a federal tax I'd number The lady at city hall said only need win number I deliver to sick people rhat want my service.

I do not always get paid I am on disability. I do this for extra money and to help people out. I do not always get money. I give it to them.


I don't know if I need a permit to do what I do since people that don't have money don't pay me. I cook homemade food. shop and deliver. Mursing home employees eat aswell.

I have never gotten any money from them. Paper work at my age is really hard for me. I do not want to be breaking any rules. I do this on my own to keep me busy What type of license do I need to get for a cleaning business?
