Here's How to Get Your Seller's Permit and Other permits and Registrations You May Need. Seller's Permit, LLC, DBA, Licenses & Tax IDs Requirements:




First decide on a business structure Craft Art as a Sole Proprietor, LLC/Corp, or Partnership.

        If you sell anything hazardous such as chemicals you will need a special location for the merchandise. I will be making art at home to sell at events Sometimes the county will ask for an inspection if you manufacture or store anything hazardous.   Merchandise is stored at home business location so it it is an insignificant amount it is ok but a lot of merchandise may need a storage location for a home business permit to be issued: Garage Make sure you do not have too many deliveries by truck to your home if this is a home business.  
I am an at home based business. Do at home businesses need tax IDs and or occupational licenses? Home business or Online businesses are not exempt from licensing requirement. You need all licenses a brick and mortar store needs. Physical location business. What if my business is not located in the city limits?   I will be making art at home to sell at events There will be no hazardous merchandise in my home stored or made.   Merchandise is stored at home business location: Garage There will be no deliveries of merchandise to my home address.  
Home businesses need a business license as well as other tax registrations. You are required to have all licenses as any business even if you are a home based business with small annual income.

So what is a resale permit? ; A resale permit is called resale because in most cases you buy wholesale and you resell retail that is why it is also called a reseller permit. Also, note that whatever item that you sell or lease and it is an item that can be touched (i.e., tangible such as equipment, jewelry, merchandise, electronics, prepared food) requires a sales ID ( Sellers Permit ) to either buy or sell the items or products wholesale from companies that sell in bulk and or sell them retail directly to consumers. Getting people to work for you within 30 days of starting your business subjects you having to get a Federal EIN and a State EIN (employer identification number). On the other hand, you will also need a federal tax ID are: if you are a partnership, an independent contractor, and a corporation or an LLC . You can also obtain a federal tax ID as a sole proprietor and use it as a business tax ID in the place of a social security number. However, you will still need other filings, such as permits, a fictitious business name DBA, and tax IDs as described above. Finally, even sole proprietor working from home or just online can set up a LLC or incorporate, in which case, they will not need to register the trade name with a dba because the LLC or Corporation name will be the legal name of the business.

Hello, we are selling ray ban online and now we are planning to open a store in a shopping mall, do we need a special license to sell this sunglasses? Or we just need the resale license?.

Just the resale license and a business license as well as a dba or an LLC.

I am looking to sell candy on the sub way and certain local street corners, do i need a licence, if so could you respond to via email i own a business (LLC) so i already have liability insurance and a tax ID.... the business right now is only photo booth rentals but we would like to get into candy buffets as well so my question is what other licenses/permits would we need to get if we were selling candy?
