Street vendors need a peddler's license but sometimes it is called a vendor's license in some states. Nevertheless, if this is your business and you sell merchandise, you also need a seller's permit.

Used merchandise when sold is taxable and you need to collect sales tax.  In addition, to buy it wholesale, you need a seller's permit.
