Here's How to Get Your Seller's Permit and Other permits and Registrations You May Need. Seller's Permit, LLC, DBA, Licenses & Tax IDs Requirements:




First decide on a business structure Restaurant as a Sole Proprietor, LLC/Corp, or Partnership.


Note that each structure requires a filing. E.g., selecting an LLC, requires at least an LLC certificate, an LLC operating agreement, a business license and a federal tax ID number.

All Restaurant Businesses need a , Business tax registration also called an occupation business License

Selling/Leasing or if wanting to buy or sell Restaurant merchandise, food, equipment requires a Seller's Permit.

A: Then, a seller's permit is required if you sell merchandise wholesale or retail.
The sellers permit is also called state ID, wholesale ID, resale ID, or re-seller license.
If you are an employer, you will need a federal employer Number and a State Employer Number.
If you do business as a name other than your full legal name, for example, you do business as "Mizu Sushi Bar & Grill fost," you will need to file a doing business as (DBA) filing.

Registering Your Own Small New Restaurant Business
First, select your business structure: Sole Proprietor, Partnership, LLC or Corporation.
The above step is important business all documents will be filed under the type of business organizational structure. After that, you will need to obtain a Restaurant business permit.
This is a general business permit that all new businesses must obtain.
Note that in the majority of the cases you do not need to obtain a business permit that is specifically for your type of business. You only need a general Restaurant business permit.
In addition, all businesses must be identified by a business tax ID called a federal tax ID number or Employer Identification Number (EIN). If you file as a sole proprietor, you can use your social security number instead of the federal ID.
Then, a seller's permit is required if you sell merchandise wholesale or retail.
The sellers permit is also called state ID, wholesale ID, resale ID, or re-seller license.

Getting people to work for you within 30 days of starting your business subjects you having to get a Federal EIN and a State EIN (employer identification number). On the other hand, you will also need a federal tax ID are: if you are a partnership, an independent contractor, and a corporation or an LLC . You can also obtain a federal tax ID as a sole proprietor and use it as a business tax ID in the place of a social security number. However, you will still need other filings, such as permits, a fictitious business name DBA, and tax IDs as described above. Finally, even sole proprietor working from home or just online can set up a LLC or incorporate, in which case, they will not need to register the trade name with a dba because the LLC or Corporation name will be the legal name of the business.

I have a sellers permit but I don't have a tax ID . I used my social security #. Do I put my social in the tax ID boxI am trying to figure out what the laws are on starting a home bakery in the state of washington I would like to use my home as a bakery what do I need to do to make this happen ?I am wanting to open a pet bakery, mainly out of my home. do we need a business licenses and a bakery licenses? Is a bakery licenses the same as a business licenses wanting to start a home bakery but not knowing where to start we are wanting to open a store front but not sure what is needed to do so I am interested in having my own at home bakery. What is required in Florida? Do I need to go through the health department for anything?

If you are applying for wholesale purchases from a wholesaler, you will need to enter your resale ID which is your seller's permit number.

First, you will need a GENERAL BUSINESS tax registration called a business license.  
Second, you will need a SALES tax registration called a seller's permit or sales tax state ID number so you can buy the things you need wholesale and sell things online and at flea markets. 
Third, your assumed business name DBA doing business as "X-zotic Super art Flea Market Crafts 4 U," is a fictitious business name and a fictitious business name must be registered with a DBA business name registration. The reason for that is to protect the public from fly by night companies that use a business name and then close over night.

Most likely after 10 years, the government retires that tax id and most likely you will need to apply for a new tax id.
