Here's How to Get Your Seller's Permit and Other permits and Registrations You May Need. Seller's Permit, LLC, DBA, Licenses & Tax IDs Requirements:




First decide on a business structure baked goods as a Sole Proprietor, LLC/Corp, or Partnership.


Note that each structure requires a filing. E.g., selecting an LLC, requires at least an LLC certificate, an LLC operating agreement, a business license and a federal tax ID number.

The best thing about a Bakery is that you have fun while making money and making people happy.
After your clients taste your delicious creations, they are customers for life.
Of course, other requirement are not as fun, like getting licensing for a Bakery business.
As in any other business, including home, online and store business, for your Bakery, first, select your Bakery  business structure:
  1. Sole Proprietor, 
  2. Partnership, 
  3. LLC or 
  4. Corporation. 
The above step is important business all documents will be filed under the type of business organizational structure.
After that, you will need to obtain a Bakery business permit. 99% of all businesses need that. For example, even Martha Stewart needs to get a business license for the cookies she sells retail.
This is a general Bakery business permit that all new businesses must obtain. 
Note that in the majority of the cases you do not need to obtain a business permit that is specifically for your type of business. You only need a general business permit. 
In addition, all businesses must be identified by a business tax ID called a federal tax ID number or Employer Identification Number (EIN). If you file as a sole proprietor, you can use your social security number instead of the federal ID. 
Then, a sellers permit is required if you sell Bakery items and merchandise wholesale or retail. 
The sellers permit is also called state ID, wholesale ID, resale ID, or re-seller license. 
If you are an employer, you will need a federal employer Number and a State Employer Number.
If you do business as a name other than your full legal name, for example, you do business as "Best Bakery: cookies, cupcakes, cakes etc," you will need to file a doing business as (DBA) filing. 
Finally, you have the option or incorporating or forming a Bakery LLC. Setting up as one of these corporate entities allows you not to file a DBA.

We move from California to Colorado I painting houses when I can I'm home stay dad but on the weekend some time I do some work I do have my name of small businesses guerreropaint and family Registrade in California but now I live here in Colorado Federal tax Id is the same as itin number ?is this the only way to get a seller's permit in south carolina Do I need a state employer ID Number as an online business if I don't have any employees other than myself? Is my Kentucky caterers license valid and Ohio? I am researching what I need if I start an online store. I have an llc and my EIN , what else do I need ? make-up artist in sc, Cosmetologist license? I do free acting workshops, and I'm very good at special effects make-up, fake cuts etc. I want to show others how to do it for free, Like helping the local filmmaker community Hello yes I do need help I've started making melts from my home also realights , I do it for family and friends at the moment do I need licences for this?
