Hi, Thanks! I am setting up e-commerce store so will be selling to all states and many internationally. From North Carolina I plan to set up LLC, so do I still need EIN, Business License and Seller's permit? Did I miss anything?

One last ?, if I start business before 1/1/18 will I be required to file taxes (I won't be selling anything) I mean I will not sell in 2017 so wondering if I can set up an LLC and not have to file taxes.

A Home Based E-Commerce business needs a seller's permit if it sells or leases products or equipment that is taxable.
All products, food, and equipment that anyone can touch is taxable. In addition, a Home Based E-Commerce business must decide on the business type of organization as a sole proprietor, LLC, partnership or corporation.
Furthermore, a general business permit and a federal tax ID number are also required for any of the above business type organizations.
Note that the majority of homes and other businesses do not need a specific type of general business permit. They only need a general business permit.
Even if they need a specific business permit, as is the case of a learned professional or a tradesman, they still need a general business permit in addition to their professional or trade license.
The only exception to a federal tax ID number is a sole proprietor, who can use a SS# instead of a Federal ID.
However, even sole proprietors as well as all other business type organizations that are employers, independent contractors, LLCs, or corporation must obtain a federal tax ID number.
Any type of business organization, including sole owners, must obtain a state employer tax ID if hiring employees.

I want to sell hair products, mostly just hair extensions, What kind of license do I need to sell hair extensions Can you sell products outside your home?

Can you sell the hair extensions directly from your house, or do you need to have a place of business?

I don't have a business license or any information I'm self-employed, Why would I need a license to have an escrow to come out and visit.

Do you have escorts that come out to the house to help us I prefer to do things in person if that's okay I have a federal tax I'd number The lady at city hall said only need win number I deliver to sick people that want my service?

I do not always get paid, I am on disability. I do this for extra money and to help people out. Furthermore, I do not always get money. I gave it to them.


Furthermore, I don't know if I need a permit to do what I do, since people that don't have money don't pay me. I cook homemade food. Shop and deliver. Nursing home employees eat as well.

I have never gotten any money from them. Paper work at my age is really hard for me. I do not want to be breaking any rules. I do this on my own to keep myself busy, What type of license do I need to get for a cleaning business?
