Even though you are a home business you still need all permits and tax ID numberss like any other businesss.     You need a social security number and or a federal tax id number or you can get it thru a USA company you own. For example, if you are a member of an LLC in Las Vegas, NV, you could get one.  In general, however, you don't need a seller's permit if you are buying from out of the USA.
