Here's How to Get Your Seller's Permit and Other permits and Registrations You May Need. Seller's Permit, LLC, DBA, Licenses & Tax IDs Requirements:




First decide on a business structure Used Goods as a Sole Proprietor, LLC/Corp, or Partnership.


Note that each structure requires a filing. E.g., selecting an LLC, requires at least an LLC certificate, an LLC operating agreement, a business license and a federal tax ID number.

All Used Goods Businesses need a , Business tax registration also called an occupation business License

Selling/Leasing or if wanting to buy or sell Used Goods merchandise, food, equipment requires a Seller's Permit.

All Used Goods Businesses Using a DBA doing business as name need a DBA Fictitious Business Name

Hiring Used Goods Workers Requires a Federal EIN and a State Tax Number EIN

Selling used stuff requires a sellers permit because you need to collect taxes when you sell them. Sales taxes that is.
Of course, any business needs to be a sole owner, corporation or LLC.
If you do not choose to become an LLC, you will need to register your business name especially if it is a name without your first and last name in it.
First, select your used stuff business structure: Sole Proprietor, Partnership, LLC or Corporation.
Then, a sellers permit is required if you sell merchandise wholesale or retail.
If you are an employer, you will need a federal employer Number and a State Employer Number.
Users of a trade name will need a fictitious business name filing. Finally, you have the option or incorporating or forming an used stuff LLC.Where do I go to talk with a live person about getting license to sell used Goods on the street I'm not trying to ignore the link I just didn't know what to do Is there a building where I can actually go into and talk to a human person face-to-face selling used goods on the streets, flea markets,etc.

An orchard where we do have employees, and a small antique business, no employees. I have business licenses for both. We are in the process of starting an Antique/Dealer Mall which I don't want to be liable for other's goods. So I'm thinking LLC is the best.

Selling in national city and spring valley areas. Which include mostly tools such as plumbing and electrical tools as well as construction tools and perhaps some household items. Maybe in the future ill try selling online. Have a mobile auto repair business. Licenced Want to know what I need to do to legally mark up parts and supplies used in repairs. Ido a couple of craft shows in North Carolina once a year, do I need a resale tax number?I can't seem to find my seller's permit number in my files on my computer ...is there a way to get a copy do I need a EIN if I have one in another state I am researching on what licenses are needed retail seafood sales. I would like sell handmade products ex. clothing, purses, shoes

She holds weekly revival meetings and does prison ministry.

Yes, you do because each time you sell anything you need to collect and pay sales taxes.  You also need a seller's permit to buy wholesale your craft supplies and items.

I obtained a seller's permit in the state of arizona, I'm selling clothing from a home-based business and I wanted to work with manufactures in California. Is the seller's permit transferable across state lines? What is the protocol for working with out of state manufactures and selling whole sale in-state.I have a seller's permit but misplaced the number. can you help?
